## What this block does
A Multiple Choice Question asks students to select one answer. Use it to check a misconception at the moment you introduce a concept. For a question with several correct answers, use **Multiple Select Question** instead.

## Set up the question
1. Insert **Multiple Choice Question** from the editor’s block menu.
2. Write a question and add the answer options.
3. Mark the correct answer and set the block’s points.
4. Choose the grading mode: **all-or-nothing** or **manual**.
5. Enable option shuffling when students should not rely on the answer’s position.

## Example: one correct answer
The block below asks which number is even. Choose **2** from **2**, **3**, and **5**. This preview records your selection locally; grading and feedback use your course configuration in a real lesson.

## Grading behavior
All-or-nothing grading gives the configured score for the correct choice. Manual mode leaves the assessment to an instructor. Use points and grading mode deliberately: a practice checkpoint and a formal assessment may need different treatment.

## Troubleshooting
If an answer that looks right is rejected, check which option is marked correct. If students need to select more than one choice, change the activity type to Multiple Select rather than listing several correct choices in a single-answer question.
